Report from The Sled Den

The great snowstorm passed The Sled Den by…….

We got about 2 -3 inches from it…..good thing it’s been snow-squalls almost every day.

There is still lots of cement in the Gaspésie. We really haven’t had a storm for more than a month now……sure, we got snow like 2 - 3” here and there….may not seem like much but it's all adding up! The squalls are the only reason there is more snow.......

The spots we rode yesterday were wind-blown…….so we had to go and search.....this is what makes the Gaspésie - the wind. One day you ride a spot & the next day it’s filled in by the wind…..or, it’s all gone into the woods or the other side of the mountain…….so wind can have the same effect as a snowstorm.

Jon and his brother Jason from Oakville, Ontario were a blast to ride and hang with!!  They now have a new type of riding to master. Let's see how much they've improved on their next visit to us....!

A reminder, The Sled Den gives lessons for FREE…..the better you ride, the more fun and the better our pics are. Even if you’re not a Mountain rider it’s always fun to just ride the Backcountry. The roads are everywhere and safe to ride with trail sleds. There are always trails packed down.

We rode around looking for some deep stuff. The only really good stuff was in the trees…..some steep spots where no one has ridden for some time…..little spots seem to have the best snow.

Tomorrow we will look in another area……I hope to find some stupid deep snow……….

PS  The trails are sweet…….not a bump and actually some guys riding!
